Ninh Binh is an island province to the South of Hanoi and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stunning natural landscapes are complemented by a tropical climate. The two primary seasons that grace Ninh Binh are the Dry and Monsoon Seasons. The best and most popular time to explore this town is from May to July, although the weather is well-balanced for majority of the year. Additionally, September to November is also a popular time for visitors as the temperatures tend to cool down towards the latter half of the year.
Dry Season (November - March)
This season is characterized by cool and wet conditions with an average temperature ranging between 19 to 26° C. Early in the morning the weather can get quite foggy, but visibility is normally high during this period making it the best time for visitors to explore the outdoor activities on offer here.
Monsoon Season (April – October)
The tropical weather means that this season is characterized by heavy rainfall, cloudy skies and an increase in humidity. The surrounding greenery becomes quite lush during this period. Additionally, in the month of September, the island province of Ninh Binh tends to be susceptible to typhoons and flooding which can be devastating on occasion.
