Panchmarhi is a hill station in Madhya Pradesh. Known as Satpura ki Rani, it is the kind of place where you just come and chill with your family and friends. It is where time stands still, where you go for a trek in the morning and another in the evening! The easiest way to reach this place is to take a train to Pipariya and drive up from there. Roads to Panchmarhi are fairly good. One can drive down SH22 from Bhopal in about 5 hours, the distance being around 200 km. Delhi is 915 km away and may take more than 17 oursh by NH44 while Mumbai, about 900 km away may take around 18 hours on the SH15. If you are coming by train to Pipariya then Panchmarhi is only 55 km away, a distance that can be covered in one and half hours if you take the 19A State Highway.

Pipariya is the nearest rail head for Panchmarhi, 55 km away. 111 trains stop at Panchmarhi. There are 28 trains from Mumbai to Pipariya while there are 2 trains from Kolkata and one from New Delhi. To reach Panchmarhi from Pipariya you could catch a bus or a share cab. A full taxi costs between Rs 600-1100/ but one cannot vouch for these figures.

Bhopal is the nearest airport for Panchmarhi, the distance between the two is about 200 km. One should be able to cover this distance in around 5 hours on road.
