The most ideal weather to experience Sagarmatha in all its glory is during the transient autumn months of October and November. The weather is clear enough for brilliant views of the hills and the cool temperature makes for an enjoyable hike through the landscapes, which is one of the main activities that tourists embark on in these regions.

Winter (December-February)

The winter months in this high altitude region tend to get immensely cold even during the daytime, and the temperatures at night can go well into the negative. Precipitation in the form of snowfall is quite common in this region, and the extreme weather conditions are not very ideal for travel purposes. Some short trekking trails can be enjoyed in the lower altitude regions during the daytime, but as the height increases, the temperature gets chillier and more precarious.

Spring is one of the best seasons to visit Sagarmatha. After the retreat of monsoons, the landscapes appear cleansed and refreshed and the skies clear up to offer breathtaking views of the mountains and landscapes. With minimal precipitation witnessed in these months, it is also one of the best times to explore activities like trekking and camping.

Summer (July-September)

While the summer temperatures remain in the range of mild to moderate, the chances of heavy precipitation during the months of July to September may cause a hindrance to camping and trekking activities, and appear as unsuitable months to visit Sagarmatha. Even on days with no rain, the thick monsoon clouds tend to block good views around the hills.
