The nearest airport is in Johan (Assam), which is 93 km from Ziro. The other airport is Lilabari which is at a distance of 123 km, but the connectivity to both the airports is erratic. The nearest international airport is Guwahati which is 443 km from Ziro. Many flights fly from Delhi to Guwahati. On reaching Guwahati take the Naharlagun Express which departs at 9.30pm. You will reach Naharlagun next day early morning. Make a dash on reaching Naharlagun and take a bus to Itanagar. This is the easiest way to reach Ziro from Guwahati.
The nearest railway station to Ziro is Naharalagun (100 km) and North Lakhimpur (117 km). On reaching Guwahati by air, you can take an overnight train which departs at 9.30 pm from Guwahati and reaches Naharalagun the next day morning. On reaching Naharalagun you can either take a bus to Itanagar or take a taxi from Naharalagun to Ziro.
