Patong is 35 km away from Phuket International Airport. There are many road means of transport available outside the Airport such as Limousine, taxis and minibuses on rent. There is even Airbus available from the Airport Bus Terminal. It takes about 40-45 minutes to reach Patong from the Airport. The common route of the buses is along the Pattaya beach via Bangla road and heading straight to the hills. Tourists with a budget can go for self-driven cars rather than chauffeur driven taxis.

Tourists from India can go for flights till Phuket from any cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore etc. and from the airport one can board regular private buses travelling to Patong beach. The journey will not take more than 45 minutes to reach the beach depending upon the traffic, and is quite pocket-friendly. There is a new system of shuttle buses introduced at the Phuket Airport which directly takes tourists from the airport to Patong town. The journey from the airport would take about 90 minutes. Phuket airport offers minibuses too. There are ample amount of regular buses available to the tourists connecting Phuket to Patong every half an hour.

Mostly tourists can go for rental motorbikes and taxis to wander around Patong. But it might cost the visitors more than public transport.
