How To Reach Alappuzha (Alleppey)
Often called the Venice of the East because of the backwater channels that run through this beach town, Alleppey lies 60 kms south of Cochin. Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha has pleasant temperatures all year round and is well connected by roads and railways, making it pretty easy to reach.
The closest airport to Alleppey is the Cochin International Airport located 78 kms away. Take a pre-paid taxi from the airport to reach Alleppey for approximately Rs. 450. All major domestic carriers fly to Cochin. Some international carriers that connect to Cochin are Singapore Airlines, Jet Airways, Qatar Airways, Gulf Air and Etihad Airways.
