Coorg is a lush green hill station in Karnataka, one of India's more popular travel destinations. Open to tourists all year around, Coorg is alluring because of its sheer natural beauty. The weather in Coorg is pleasant and comfortable on most days. However, October to March is considered to be the best time for visiting this piece of heaven called Coorg. 

Starting in March, the summers here last until May. Most tourists often visit Coorg in summers because of the hilly terrain and pleasant temperature. Usually, the temperature is around 22 degrees Celsius but sometimes can go up to 40 degrees! Even then, it is pretty comfortable and breezy.

Monsoon here starts around June and goes on till September. Since the area has a thick green cover it receives heavy rainfall. The monsoons are considered to be an off season for tourism. However, if the rains make you happy, then Coorg will delight you during these months with its lush green landscapes. The average temperature in monsoon ranges from 23 to 26 degrees.

In Coorg, winters start in October. The temperatures are bearable during this month but the mercury dips steadily till January. The cold lasts till February with the temperature ranging anywhere from 10 to 28 degrees.

Whenever you decide to make a move toward Coorg, pack your bags with some light woolens and take a pair of good sports shoes – since trekking is a must do here.
