Planning A Trip To Danang? Here are some guidelines on how to reach Danang

Danang is the fourth largest city in Vietnam and is growing at an precendented pace. Initially regarded as a remote backwater location, urbanization has hit the city hard over the last few decades turning it into a major industrial hub and tourist hot spot. Aside from the fantastic nightlife, shopping and historical landmarks, this city is frequented for its proximity to Hoi An and a number of other small beach towns. The city is equally well-connected by road, rail and air.

However, for international visitors it is recommended to land at Danang Airport, which is only 3 km from the main city center. It is the best and most efficient way to reach. Danang Bus Station is also bustling with visitors on a daily basis and is the fastest way to reach for visitors travelling locally. For visitors coming in by rail, the Danang Railway Station is about 5 km from the heart of the city. Check out the rest of this article to learn more on the different ways to reach Danang.

The Danang International Airport is the smallest in size of the 3 primary international airports in Vietnam. The airport has a high frequency of flights connecting the city with majority of the significant cities in and around Vietnam as well as international locations. Additionally, it is only 3 km away from the heart of the city. Visitors have multiple car and bus options to and from the airport. Smaller towns like Hoi An that don't have their own airports tend to use Danang Airport as their base point. Hence, for international travellers the most efficient way to reach is by flying down to this airport.

Getting around the city locally is very easy and visitors are blessed with multiple local transportation options. The most popular are the taxi services, which are relatively affordable and help visitors explore the city with ease. Most drivers tend to speak fluent English as well, a huge boost for first time visitors. Additionally, cheaper budgets enable the use of motorcycle taxis or hiring local motorbikes or cycles. Visitors carrying an international driving license should have no problem hiring a vehicle, but should be wary of the crazy traffic jams and packed roadways.
