The Vadodara station is 33 meters above the sea level and falls in the western division of the Indian Railways. It is about 400 km away from the financial capital of the country - Mumbai, 100 km away from the state capital - Gandhinagar, and about a 1000 km away from the national capital - Delhi.

It’s a major railway station that has 7 platforms and about 385 trains (including Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi, and Garib Rath) have their stoppages here.
