Once the largest city of Roman Spain, Cordoba enjoyed its golden age between the 8th and 11th centuries and was regarded as one of the rich and culturally diverse capitals of the world due to its Moorish influences. This is by far the best, fastest and most popular mode of transportation to get to Cordoba. The AVE bullet train is go-to option to get in around the city with ease. Additionally, these trains are connected to majority of the major cities in and around Cordoba. The Renfe train pass allows visitors to travel around the country with great ease. The pass can be purchased either online or at any of the major stations itself. The journey by train is often the more scenic route which is another major reason for its popularity with tourists. 

Getting in and around the city locally is relatively stress-free and convenient. The city has a Hop-on Hop-off bus service which is ideally for visitors looking to enjoy the major sights and sounds of Cordoba. Additionally there are local taxis and a well-connected train service at their disposal. If that's not enough, walking around the city by foot is a great way to take in the essence of the city.
