The state has two international airports; the first one is Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow and is located at a distance of 15.1 km from the center of Lucknow city. The second international airport is the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi, which is at a distance of 23.8 km from the center of the city. All major airlines ply from the international airports to different cities in the world. There are domestic airports in Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow and Agra that serve passengers in the region of Uttar Pradesh and the ones coming from other cities in India.
