We , a group of classmates from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune , who just turned 60, decided to take the Kenya Tanzania safari with our spouses. Gurmukh Singh of The Kenya Travels was there with us "in letter and spirit" all through the planning and during the safari. Gurmukh being an Indian and Kenyan was also useful. He took care of every need ( including some tasty snacks loaded in our safari vehicles)and was there sorting out our game drives with care and attention so that we don't miss out sighting the "Big five" and the great wildebeest migration. This trip of 2019 to Kenya/Tanzania will be etched in our memories for many years. Strongly recommend The Kenya Travels.

This was our first family trip to mainland Africa and we had decided to focus our visit on Tanzania. Obviously, the safari was to be the highlight of our visit and on our radar were Tarangeri, Manyara, Ngorongoro and, of course, Serengeti. When I first spoke to Gurmukh Singh at MyKenya Travels I immediately had a sense of comfort and as we discussed possible options in the days and weeks prior to the trip his genuineness, warmth and flexibility shone through. He was always available for us and no adjustments were too difficult for him. This continued after we commenced the trip, starting from his making the effort to come and meet us at 8 am on a Sunday before we left Nairobi for Arusha! Throughout the trip, which was magical and seamless, he was in touch with us every day ensuring that everything was going as planned. Our driver Izaak, again arranged by MyKenya Travels, was experienced, flexible, friendly and quite wonderful in his knowledge of the terrain and the fauna inhabiting it. We are now full to the brim with the amazing beauty and wildife of Tanzania. Gurmukh arranged a variety of accommodation, from amazing lodges to tented camps and also ensured that we were able to witness the annual migration in it's full flow and splendour. So thanks Gurmukh for curating and creating such a personalised safari experience for us! We will be back soon, this time to experience the joys of your native Kenya!

My brother, my uncle and I wanted to visit Kenya for the first time for the holiday season. We reached out to Mr. Gurmukh and he organized everything for us. I honestly can't put in words how wonderful and well organized our short trip to Mombasa and Diani was. He was reachable 24/7 via phone, email and whatspp. He organized everything for us. It has been three months since returning from our trip to Kenya which I must say still feels so very surreal. It’s a trip I will remember for a lifetime not just because of Kenya’s naturally enchanting beauty but because it was where we had decided to spread my father’s ashes, his home country until the late 70s, followed by a safari trip he would have wanted us to experience. I had unfortunately never visited Kenya before thus had no contacts out there. I thankfully stumbled across Gurmukh and from the first time we spoke, I found Gurmukh to be not only professional as one would expect, but approachable and genuine in nature. Gurmukh understood the personal driver behind our trip, enhanced our time in Kenya by picking travel options to suit the bespoke nature of the three different locations we needed to cover and most importantly was up-front about what our money would buy us. I had become so comfortable communicating with Gurmukh even before we had left the UK, like you would with a friend. Gurmukh provided me with all the pre-travel information I needed, I really had absolutely nothing to worry about. As soon as we landed in Nairobi, Gurmukh provided me with a local phone along with data so I could stay in touch with my family and so that Gurmukh could stay in touch with us throughout our time in Kenya. Gurmukh even went to the trouble of having a memory book made personalised with my father’s name along with some other Kenyan goodies which was so touching. There is a difference between business and service and this is in my opinion is what sets MyKenyaTravel apart. My husband and I were extremely lucky to have been introduced to Gurmukh; I don’t think we would have had half the experience in Kenya without him! No request or query was too much and he always answered with sincerity and integrity. My Kenya Travel Myself, my daughter and my parents in their late 70’s with mobility issues travelled to Kenya with “My Kenya Travel”, from 10th to 25th of September 2018. The plan was to take my parents to Kenya to experience Nairobi, Mombasa and the mass migration in the Masai Mara. The trip was, in particular, for my father who grew up and lived in Kenya until he left in the sixties. Gurmukh made the whole process of planning this trip, taking into consideration our particular requirements and coming up with a bespoke itinerary very easy. With his help, we were able to plan the trip which accommodated the needs of our entire party. From our first contact with Gurmukh to the end of the trip was a very easy experience, the whole process felt like working with an old friend. He went above and beyond to create a bespoke holiday for us by taking our requirements and providing constructive criticism until we had the perfect package. On arrival in Nairobi, Gurmukh, was there to meet us. He provided us with a mobile phone and was always available to discuss our requirements and sort out any issues. He kept in constant touch throughout the trip, providing advice on game drives etc. In fact, Gurmukh remained in contact with us all the way up to our safe return home. He treated us like family. The small touches that made all the difference like providing a small stool for my mother to get in and out of the safari van, cushions to make the journey comfortable and even bean bags for my camera. The accommodation in Nairobi, Mombasa and the lodges during the Safari were perfect, e.g. the accommodation for my parents at all the locations were close to the amenities and easy to get to. For our safari the vehicle and our driver/guide were excellent. The driver Muriti, Gurmukh had organised for us was a lovely, knowledgeable man, very easy to get on with, who made us feel comfortable and ensured we made the most of our game drives. We saw apart from the black rhino all of the other animals from the big five group, as well as many more…. It was an amazing experience. Overall, we had a fantastic time exploring Kenya with “My Kenya Travel”, and I and my family would highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Kenya.

My Kenya Safari organized a 10 day personalized solo trip for me in January of 2021. My guide and I traveled to 5 different locations, thus covering the best of Kenya’s parks. Gurmukh treated me with the utmost care and respect. I had a personal cell phone to reach him 24/7 and he checked in with me and provided additional information about the places I’d be seeing. Of course, travel was complicated by all the COVID testing requirements but Gurmukh worked it all out so I could be tested on a Saturday in Nairobi and get the results on Sunday (virtually unheard of)! I cannot say enough good things about how my trip was organized. The advantage of going solo is you can customize the trip anyway you wish and it was not prohibitively expensive! Enjoy!

Gurmukh at My Kenya Travel has arranged all our safaris and beach holidays to Mombasa since 2010. He knows what safari camps are best suited for the type of experiences we are looking for. As our kids grew up, he would tailor our safari so we could always have a different adventure each time. We’ve been to the Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Samburu, Mt.
