Not entirely satisfactory experience

It was not a completely satisfactory experience for 3 reasons.
1. Bad choice of the Hotel 'Vijay-International' in Katra
- Hotel was in a odd location, where there wasn't even a pucca road.
- The Hotel Room and most of the items inside it were of very substandard quality. Had issues with switches, mirror, telivision. Looked like a cheap lodge.
- Proper Breakfast wasn't provided, despite being complimentary.
- Drinking water provided was not through any RO or filter.
2. Illogical/Non-sensical choice of Hotel in Mcleodganj
- As per the agreed itinerary, it did not made any sense to book a hotel in Mcleodganj. We didn't had any temples to cover in Dharamshala or Mcleodganj.
- Logically the Hotel should have been booked in Kangra to cover Chamunda, Jwala Devi and Kangra Devi temples. That would have saved significant travel time and also KMs.
- Unnecessarily we were made to go to Mcleodganj, Bhagsu Nag to be precise which was even further away from Mcleodganj.
3. Driver was regularly moaning about the KM limit.
- We were told that KM limit was 1900, whereas the Driver was told that the limit is 1800.
- He kept on moaning that the limit would get exceeded and he kept calling the person who was his point of contact that whether he should continue the trip or not and who
will pay for the extra KMs.
- It wasn't our problem and fault, we simply asked him to follow the itinerary. But to be fair to him it wasn't a sensible decision to book the Hotel in Mcleodganj.
- Also the Driver wasn't very cooperative.
- Ideally somebody from 'Atlas Holidays Planner' should have remained in touch with the Driver and coordinated with him. He was needlessly complaining to us.
Hotel in Chandigarh & Amritsar were good and a similar hotel should have been booked elsewhere also.
