This is my 8th touring with them. The best experience i had as usual. Mrs.Pooja made this time the best as usual. The hotels & vehicles are very comfortable. She takes my cll even at 9 PM to solve my small issues like arranging currencies. Himalayan is always like Himalaya in giving happiness.

Gave horrible experience. Damaged and old cabs, deliberate attempts in communication gaps, very dirty and shady hotels, no proper response and solutions to client's problems, after taking 1.20 lacs for 11 days trip. Will definitely suggest a NO to this company. Also I will file a case against them in the consumer forum!!

Avoid booking any of your vacation trip with Himalayan Travels. They will just end up spoiling your vacation in every possible way. I had booked my Sikkim trip through Himalayan Travels and experienced worst services ever. 1. They overcharged me like a bomb. 2. I had specific request for vehicles - Since its a hilly region, I asked for Sedan, for which they charged extra and I agreed to pay; however, eventually the sent an WagonR which was very uncomfortable. 3. They took the whole money upfront, before the start of the trip. 4. On complaining about the vehicle, they promised a refund, but did not receive the whole refund. 5. Their sales executive Mrs Shweta used to hang up my calls in between and blocked me when I followed up for refund. 6. Aditya is a very rude person who does not care at all about the customer delight. 7. The kind of drivers they provided were very arrogant. Overall, AVOID Himalayan Travels (also known as Planmyvacations)

Travelled with a friend to Kaziranga and Meghalaya. Ms. Shweta gave me an itinerary within hours and organised an excellent custom made trip with excellent car and driver with a good selection of hotels. Was available throughout the tour for any clarifications and support. Thank you.

Worst tour operator you could ask for. Pathetic services in terms of hotels, cab driver & planning.

One of the best tour operator I have seen in my entire life. Coordination and planning for tourists are excellent. Mr deepak who is general manager is very polite person and manages the hassle free tour.

I traveled to Gangtok and Darjeeling with my family. The tour was arranged with Himalayan Travels. It was my first experience for travelling with my family to a remote location and I was little worried about it. I am so glad that I picked Plan My Vacation for organizing this trip for us and Mr. Deepraj Rai was our travel coordinator. He was very helpful throughout our travel period. Even before arriving, we were contacted via Whatsapp and informed about the various arrangements made for our trip. Our itinerary was also slightly customised in order to suit my family. The hotels provided at both the place was very nice. All travel and sight seeing arrangements were also good. I would also like to mention that driver provided at Darjeeling (Mr. Arun) was very nice person. Had an amazing 10 days, 9 nights trip to Gangtok, Lachen, Lachung, Pelling and darjeeling. Had taken a package from Himalayan travels. The trip sailed through so smoothly without any hiccups, thanks to the co-ordinator Deepraj from Himalayan travels. He was available 24/7 for any queries or help. As soon as i reached airport, the cab was ready waiting for us. Every step of the way, Deepraj Rai had arranged everything in advance. All informations were provided in advance. Not sure how well they handle the actual trips, their initial conversation is very king and sweet. But in case you have to cancel your trip for any reason, they will never refund your money.

In my case, the itenary was for 4 places but 1 week before the trip, they notified me that they will not be able to cover 2 places and they can substitute with some other spots. We were not okay with the plan and decided to cancel the trip, even they agreed will full refund since it was initiated from their end.

But since then, they have started doging all calls and emails and no sign of any refund.
Mr Aditya, the owner is least responsible for any customer satisfaction and would block your number and not even listen to you if you ask then for your own money.
Guys, why do you have a cancellation plan in you website if you dont have any intention to return

The worst experience I have ever had with this agency. The CEO of this company Mr. Aditya, had no minimum etiquette to speak to customers and resolve the issue. My trip has been cancelled due to medical emergency and gave informed a well ahead of time and all my money has been looted by this company along with Travel Triangle with no refund initiated.

No empathy and especially when it comes to money, both travel triangle and Himalayan travels acted so well and genuine untill the money is reflected into their account we would see the actual shade of them. We rely on you for genuine services and not these type of activities.

Mr. Aditya, when you can take my money, I have every right to ask for my money back and you cannot deny it escaping my calls, blocking my number and playing all these tricks. Do genuine hard work and earn money and not by these silly tricks. You should be having a family too.

Friends, please donot ever dream to book your travel with this guys. Initially they are sweet and later you see their other side of venom after the payment.

Our trip was taken care by Himalayan Travels. Sagar Limbu was the personnel who arranged the itinerary for the trip. We booked the car facility from them. It was an Innova and the driver name was Nigam who was quite co-operative. He knew the roads well and was well accustomed with the tourist spots. Himalayan Travels made our trip easier. 5 star for the arrangement and the driver.

driver - drivers r good but they must work as a tour guide also so we will know some more information about each location.

I had very bad experience with Himalayan Tour members especially our tour coordinator Ms. Sriti and her Manager Mr. Ravi.

Firstly I made our booking for 8 peoples with this team 3 months before our tour and requested them to provide front facing back seat vehicles as I was travelling with my parents and kids. I again confirmed with Ms. Sriti one day before our journey for which she said the vehicles have arranged accordingly, but to my surprise the vehicles were not as per my request. We ignored it.

Secondly, at the time of booking I informed Ms. Sriti that I want to go for Nathula Pass for which I was ready to pay extra cost, but she totally forgot to make our permit arrangement (she didn't even asked us for the required documents for permit). When I asked her about it, initially she lied that our permit got rejected, on that I told her to send me the copy of it, which was not available with her. Then she said, that day Nathula Pass permit was not issued to anyone, however I had seen many people visited Nathula that day. Finally, she said, you didn't confirm about Nathula (Till end she was not ready to accept her mistake). My point was whatever is case it was her duty to guide us about all requirements. In all this time her manager Mr. Ravi was not receiving my calls.

My total tour cost was Rs.41,000 (excluding Nathula, which was payable if permit received), which we were paying in installments of Rs. 10,000 and on last day Rs. 3,000 was only balance. We noticed that the driver for that day was not good. He was very arrogant and was using abusive language while talking to us, we also came to know that he had taken drugs. We were not comfortable with him, so I told her to manage the driver. I told her I will pay my balance amount once we reach Bagdogra Airport. (when we have paid 38000 to them then why we will run away with balance 3000) But she was not ready to listen us and was continuously asking for balance payment and was not supporting us. Finally, the driver left us with our luggage on petrol pump and ran away. He literally threw our luggage from carrier. Thereafter Himalayan Tour people never called us ( even for their balance payment)

My suggestion to you, even if you are planning your tour with Himalayan travel make sure you are not dealing with Ms. Sriti and Mr. Ravi.

We had planned for 1 week trip from 18-25 march. Mr joshan limbu was the organizer from this travels. All the arrangements were made according to the plan and the accommodation give was 3 star and it was brilliant. We rab out of luck and coulndt visit NATHULA PASS ANS YUMTHANG VALLEY.There were some ups and downs which Mr joshan handled it well no doubt. I recommend this travel agency for a hassle free travel.

We had booked a package for Sikkim - Gangtok, Lachen, Lachung, Pelling and Darjeeling for 10 days in March 2019 from Himalayan Travels. Mr. Sagar Limbu from Himalayan travels had managed our entire tour plan including travelling and accommodation. Service provided by Sagar was very good. Hotels provided were also good. We enjoyed our entire tour. Entire tour completed as per travel itinerary except few points due to bad weather condition and permit issues. We had booked a customized package for Sikkim and Darjeeling. The booking was done by Pooja from Himalayan travels. Service provided by Pooja was very good. All the hotels provided by Himalayan travels were hygienic, neat and clean. Also the hotel services were upto the mark. We enjoyed our stay at all the hotels booked in Sikkim and Darjeeling. Locations traveled were - Gangtok, Lachung, Pelling,Darjeeling. Pelling's "Retreat 108" home stay was awesome in terms of stay, services and food. the hotel owner was also very much polite.Its a must visit place. Sikkim is a must visit place & very clean.

Note - Its better to book breakfast and Dinner at hotel while booking the package as very limited food options are available in Sikkim.

Himalayan travels is worst. I have paid rs.49000(42000+ 4000(Nathula pass)+ 3000(Kala pathar) for Taxi. 10 days trip. This agency do not own cars and give contract to other companies. So Himalayan travels gives contract to company A and then company A give contract to company B and then company B stand on the road and give contract to any driver on road. Once our driver got personal emergency then the cheap game of himalayan travels started. Their company B was standing on the road and asking the road side drivers to take the tourists. Driver didn't know who Himalayan travel is and doesn't care about Himalayan travels. Had to wait on the road for 3 hours as the new driver declined to take the other route. We even offered to pay rs.1000 extra but it did not work. The driver took the shortest route possible, which doesn't even exist on map. I have attached the pic.Their owner is even worst, their expectation is "What is the problem is waiting for 3 hours?" "If you are in a car and not on road then you should not complain." "You can complain to anyone about us and we will take care of you" . They will try to convince to take the package by saying "You are from rajasthan and I am from rajasthan(Agent)". Agent would not pickup the call for hours and you would be stuck in your trip. Once you make the payment then nobody cares where you are in trip. Please book by a travel agency like traveltriangle so atleast they would pickup your calls.

I opted Himalayan travel for 4 members including me for 8 days 9 nights to Darjeeling, Gangtok, pelling from TRIP CRAFTERS.I coordinated with Joshan Limbu (Himalayan travels)was very nice and polite person. We had a great experience, enjoyed this trip. All the hotels were 3 star and hotel staff was friendly. We,3 families had a fantastic experience with Himalayan travels during our one week long trip to Darjeeling, Pelling and Gangtok during September 20th to 27th 2018. The Sales manager Joshan limbu coordinated the entire tour very well from the beginning to the end. Vehicles and drivers were commendable. Stay at all the places were very comfortable. One can trust Himalayan Travels for the tours and I personally wish them all the best.

We booked our tour with Himalayan Travels and had a great trip. They were very patient about the booking process and replied to all our requests. Besides a few small glitches with entrance fees (we were told they were included and still the guide told us to pay them!) we had a great experience for all transfers were on time and the cars were excellent and the hotels were quite alright. A serious agency to trust! I would do Sikkim with them next time ...

Sorry to say that they are not upto the mark. In Gangtok the hotel was good ,five elements. We reached Gangtok and had a nice time but when we were supposed to go to lachen the vehicle provided was pathetic, they were supposed to provide Innova but they did not give and the vehicle was in horrible condition and 3 days in the vehicle with family when kids are also traveling it's horrible as the roads are not good. Inspite of calling the incharge and telling them that the vehicle is wrong they said to continue with the same vehicle. The hotel at lachen was horrible named dongkheala , the bedsheets and bedspread horrible dusty dirty. The climate was too cold and hot water availability is a problem. Travelling in the same vehicle to lachung was again a torture. The hotel at lachung was lachung dynasty. As per the name nothing went according to it. The rooms were totally dusty especially below the bed there was a layer of dust, especially when we are asthmatic we can't tolerate it. Finally after coming back we really thanked the driver ,Samson, as inspite of the horrible vehicle he drove safely. I hope they improve on their commitments and give better service to the other customers. We shall never book with them for sure.

The only problem is that Mr. Sangam did not provide the bill of the tour. otherwise, the whole trips were wonderful.

Company change the hotel in Punakha. They did not know itenery of Bhutan, for this one day waste in tour programme, some places name are double in different manner. Driver & car is very good.

Himalayan travels need to do better arrangements for guests instead of making last minute arrangements . Their homework is lacking resulting in confusions and oversight . During our visit to darjeeling and gangtok if their operations head shri kalyan had not been active , the whole trip would have been messed up . What is surprising that despite being peak season and with tourists pouring in , their CEO and General Manager was on leave .This reflects their lack of professionalism and commitment towards their clients

Our Tour Manager was Ravi Valmiki. He was a nice person and arranged our trip nicely.
We stayed Himalayan Heights Hotels at Gangtok got the room at 4th floor 403 and 404.
The rooms are Super Deluxe and heaving wonderful view, I strongly recommended to
Stay once at Himalayan heights once.
We got car Inova for Gurudongmar and Yangthang, bt I personally recommend to go by
Xylo as invoa ground clearance are not good and xylo is more comfortable than inova.
We have got Snow Retreat at Lachen which was worst but the hotels staff are very polite
And helpful I have never seen such helpful people but rooms conditions are very poor.
We got the Royal Lachung hotel at Lachung , the hotel are very nice , big and clear view from Bed.
Washroom are very big but I guess it was useless as the temperature was -3.

Due to heavy snowfall we are unable visit any of the place we have to came back Mid of the road.
So Ravi has arranged a another place to visit, driver has charged Rs.2000 for permission and Ravi has
Agreed to refund the amount as we are unable to visit any place.

I got full co-operation from Ravi (Himalayan Travels), I recommend to plan your trip from Himalayan Travels.

TOUR planning was good, Transport provided was comfortable, most important was driver, driver has done good job, safe driver. looking at the mountain track. Hotel at thimphu was ok, Hotel provided at Paro was not to the standard. We had to change to the alternative hotel. Tour promise was LUXURY but it was not. Break fast was no choice.
Site seeing was ok. Driver was friendly. Over all satisfactory.

Overall the tour was good. I have the visited the places which was committed to me. But only one thing for the reason I can't give 5 star because the vehcile given to us for bhutan tour was a bad one. It was a ten years old Sumo Spacio Gold and was totally uncomfortable in the hill road. Otherwise the tour was good the hotels and the food are good. Although you can't expect very luxurios hotels and food in hill area.

I am happy to inform that my trip to north east was made most memorable by Smitha subba frm himalayan travels...she did a great job n we really enjoyed our trip... n looking forward to more trips..With them..

Hotel quality poor / Responsibility and time management are not look like Government Approved tour operator.

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I AM TRAVELLING WITH HIMALAYAN TRAVELS AFTER THE BEST SERVICES PROVIDED IN MY FIRST TRIP. BARRING FEW MINOR INCIDENTS HERE & THERE OVERALL THE TOUR WAS SATISFACTORY. WE BEING SOUTH INDIAN, HAD TO FACE FOOD PROBLEM IN BHUTAN. ONE VEHICLE WAS STRUCK IN NATHULLA PASS HAD TO FACE LITTLE PROBLEM SO WE REQUESTED THE HIMALAYAN TRAVELS, THEY HAVE AGREED TO REEMBURSE THE LOSS WE HAVE INCURED.

Trip was organised well with the help of R.S.Travels. Only Problem was in the last leg of the Trip in Paro the 'Galling Resort' people did not give good Service and were rude.
We faced problems for Vegitarian food.

At the outset, their attitude was totally unprofessional. We have been dumped on some local travel agent at Gangtok about whom we still have no idea (we were not given any address or pohone no.).
The following points may be noted.
1. Nathula pass: As per the letter of Himalayan Travels, no permits are issued for Monday & Tuesday, Still our programme was fixed for Tuesday, which did not materialise. Though they promised, it would be done on 30/4/2016, no effort was made in this regard (the photographs & documents were collected only at 8.30 pm on 29/4/2016 and the application was made only for Tsomgo lake & Baba mandir � I have got a copy of the aplln. Form). We came to know about this from the driver only when we reached Tsomgo lake. We felt cheated, because we had lost one full day. The driver was also not good as he was only interested in making money on the side.
2. Though we had asked for luxury accomodation, at Lachen we were provided a double room with attached 24 hrs wet bathroom (leaking faucets & Pipes at near zero degrees).
3. I was made to go and ask the drivers of vehicles parked in front of the Hotel to find out if the vehicle was meant for us.
I would not recommend Himalayan Travels to anyone and dissuade anyone who tries to use their services.

First of all I must say that Mr. Santosh Prasad from Himalayan travels is nice well behaved person attended all the querries of our team and helped all the time. Due to road blockade he altered our tour to Lachen which too was blocked and we missed our tour of pelling.Keeping our age as senior citizens he should not have sent us to Lachen. In stead he could have sent us to Kalimpong. The food quality and quantity in Gangtok and Lachen was not to our satisfaction. No variety and amount was also not enough. The food quality and quantoty was nice in Darjeeling. The lopss of one day could have been compensated by putting our night halt in Namchi/Kalimpong.The driver and vehicle for Lachen and darjeeling was not comfortable.Driver was not well behaved. Our request for XYLO or toyota luxury was not met. As a result we 4 senior citizens were in discomfort because the roads in north sikkim were extremely bad.For senior citizens the tour should be planned after consulting them as old age does not permit to risk for adventures. Other drivers and vehicles were up to satisfaction and OK. Santosh had promised to gift us special tea of Darjeeling and Sikkim but he could not fulfill his promise. The reason is not known. Overall impression with Santoish Prasad is good and though we faced problems, I will not hesitate to recommend Himalayan travels to others. Two things the Himalayan Travels to follow:
1. Ask hoten people to provide superve quality of Dimmer/BF as we pay the amount.
2. Drivers should be instructed not to squeeze money from us in the shape of parking etc. which is paid by the travel agency as mentioned in the tour package.
3. On airport/Rly Station the representatine of travel agent shjould stand with name playcard to meet the customers and the driver with vehicle should collect the baggage of travellers. In our case we spent 45 minutes to locate the driver and had to carry luggage over 1 km distance. Being old people it was strenuous for we serior citizens. We wish Santosh and Party all the best and hope that he is going to improve the services.

It was my nice experience forever. In very short time (3D3N) we visited most of the places and site seeing.

Thanks for the tour arrangements made during visit between 19th to 26th April 2016..The arrangements were O K. I have following feedback/suggestions:

1. Before final booking all details of passages must be collected so no problem is faced at the starting point.We took 45 min to locate the driver and vehicle.
2. for visit to Lachen--Gurudongarmal lake it must be noted/highlife in your system that 'PERSONS HAVING AGE 55 Yrs.AND ABOVE AND BELOW 8 Yrs ARE NOT ALLOWED BY ARMY ,OXYGEN LEVEL BELOW 5%' In our case this was a blunder mistake on the part of your companey,as every driver ,hotel at tendentious was knowing this,even at Gangtok it was known to the hotel person and the vehicle operator. Due to this mister we (all senior citizens)had hatic and useless journey at Lachen,this day otherwise could have been utilised for Gangtok local.
3.Hotels at Lachen and Lachung did not have basic facilities like hot water thermas,even no hooks for holdings cloths,alimarah,,mirror etc.both hotels were not to the mark.

All other arrangements were fine.Vehicles and drivers were too good and well behaved.

They were booked for my Zuluk tour of 19 people. It was the Driver that saved our tour. Before booking the tour Himalaya Tour use to call frequently, but after I handed over the money to them and when we were caught in misery, as the drivers were given petrol for their car and only Rs. 100 rach for two cars, Himalaya was no where to sort this problem out. We requested the drivers and they fedback that we were fools that we have paid the whole amount to this travel agent.Himalaya have never called back after the incident, even during our tour.

Mr Aditya & his team done good job. We have fully satisfied.

I would like to thank Himalayan travels for arranging an awesome trip for us to Bhutan...special thanks to Iccha...all hotels, local conveyance arranged were the best as well the driver was very gud...you rock and they are the best for arranging tours to eastern part of india as well as bhutan...keep it up...will be surely having many more trips with them...thanks once again

Our Arunachal Trip was customised by Himalayan travels . The itinerary including accommodation was good . The only irritant was the attitude of the driver-cum-guide Bittu. An expert driver who could comfortably negotiate the Himalayan terrain, he was no tourist guide and was unwilling to become one. He regarded us goods to be loaded at one hotel , transported safely and unloaded at another hotel some 200 Kms away. We had to cajole /quarrel with him to stop enroute/deviate from the main route for sight seeing . He had no knowledge of the tourist attractions in the area and no intention to find them out . Himalayan Travels should have checked up the credentials of the driver-cum guide before engaging him.

I don't have good words for the Kalyaan (Tour coordinator), I was not provided any thing what he promised me, I was feeling cheated all the time during this trip. Wrong Itinerary, problem with food, incomplete facilites in hotels, everywhere I compromised while I paid more as compare, what other travellers asking for this trip. Very unsatisfied, , I travelled almost each part of India and I would to admit that THIS WAS THE WORST TRIP I EVER HAVE IN MY LIFE

Right from NJP railway station to NJP through Phuentslong ,Thimpu,Punakha and Paro in five days,Himalyan Travels kept its word by providing comfortable travel and accommodation for 14 of us at affordable rates. One of my most hassle free travels . Kudos to Himalayan Travels

Easy and helpful service

Our tour is good arrengment are good darjling hotel is very good and their service are very good but in gangtok hotel is very cheep room is very small hotel managment cheat us . Which room i saw in internet is not bed but in reall its very bed service is also not good . Other then this everythink was ok.

KALYAN PRADHAN,MR RAJ,MR, NIMA Theyall helped us all the way they were there when we needed help. everything was arranged properly my especial thanks to kumar driver he was the best and helped us lot when we were stuck in land slide.this was one of my best trip.but here one complain driver santosh sonda of innova is very smart less cooperative and i sugest that pl. do not give him to another coustmer . firstly he was late ,then he didint put our luggage on top and tried to get free as soon as possible due to him we missed some point in darjeeling rest everything was good. i do recomend himalayan travels

I wish to thank you personally and Himalayan Travels in general for the excellent services that were provided to our group when we visited Darjeeling - Gangtok in May 2012.Our trip was a successful venture and all the family members appreciated your planning and the proper execution of the plan.
We were impressed by the way you kept track of our journey and messaged us from time to time the required instructions.The concern which your transport people showed in getting us to the railway station in NJP for the return jpurney was pleasing. In fact, we felt that we had friends there, not someone who was giving us professional service only.

Some concerns we would like to express. The person who was the coordinator for our trip to Lachen - Lachung trip was quite a rude and the driver did not really bother to inform us about some points like Singhik View Point.We had to insist that he show us that because we read about it in a booklet that we purchased.

Please understand that this is a feedback, not a complaint.

We would like to plan a trip to Assam including Kaziranga with you sometime in future.
